Why do we need GreenLink?

There is a US$5 trillion business opportunity in Asia revolving around sustainability.1 Based on the preamble of growing demand for more sustainably sourced and produced products, it is evident that consumers are placing greater emphasis on socially impactful companies, through their willingness to pay more.

Transparency in our supply chains is no longer a choice but a corporate responsibility as the demand for fair trade, ethically sourced and sustainable materials continue to grow. Consumers’ limited knowledge on the supply chain of the products that they consume leads to a diffculty in making informed purchasing decisions. They are also unable to play an active role in shaping how businesses operate and ensuring higher standards of social responsibility.

In this context, GreenLink aims to provide transparency throughout the supply chain by forming a backbone on which applications can be layered on, such as through the proof-ofcertifcate application, which allows consumers to partake in a new form of product verifcation process and enable businesses to be digitally certifed on our platform.

How does GreenLink work?

The GreenLink protocol is built to catalyse industry sustainability and tackle the main challenges plaguing transparency and certifcation standards in product supply chains. The GreenLink Protocol is built on Ethereum network through the deployment of its own native token, IMPACT (an ERC-20 Token). Currently, it boasts three features:

  1. Enable complete traceability and transparent data of sustainable products through our blockchainenabled digital certifcation program and integrating other metadata from Internet-of-Things (IoT) and supply chain partners
  2. Upstream integration with ecocertifcation bodies to accredit immutable certifcation with the proof of a digital signature by these bodies for merchants
  3. Social Ledger Program – An e-commerce loyalty platformthat rewards consumers who are committed to sustainable efforts with IMPACT, and records their deeds on the blockchain
